Hayes Design Group Architects was retained for complete renovation of, and a 4,200 SF addition to, an existing, circa 1960s 5,000 SF building. The exterior received a complete renovation, which updated its look and created a seamless transition between the existing building and the addition. The expansion of the administration area in the addition included a large open office area to include conference and cubicle areas for fifteen field workers. New locker room facilities for both male and female staff were constructed. A garage area expansion accommodated four new truck bays. During construction, the building remained fully occupied by Water Authority staff. The exterior design blended new and existing materials and achieved an integrated, contextual design.
