HDG Architects provided architectural services for renovations to two buildings on Slippery Rock University’s campus: the Spotts World Culture Building and Weisenfluh Dining Hall. The scope of work for the Spotts World Culture Building consisted of upgrades to three primary entrance canopies and basement waterproofing. HDG worked with the Facilities Manager to develop multiple design options for the upgraded canopies, each featuring unique styles and materials that were complimentary to the existing structure. After selection of a preferred option by the Owner, HDG then prepared preliminary cost estimates for the work, developed the design into usable construction documents, and administered construction through completion of the project. At Weisenfluh Dining Hall, HDG conducted a preliminary code review and prepared construction documents for renovations to an elevator machine room.
