January 11, 2017

The Hayes Design Group – Architects (Pittsburgh, PA) in partnership with Weber Murphy Fox (Erie, PA) was recently awarded the architecture services contract for the construction of the Robinson Township Municipal Complex, following a RFP process. Phase One of the project, the creation of design concepts and programming began in December for the proposed site, a 10-14 acre plot, adjacent to the Mall at Robinson.

The scope of the contract will include preparation of construction documents, mechanical and contract administration for the proposed 35,000 SF. building.

Upon completion the building will house the municipal administrative offices, police department, library, tax office, along with ancillary township offices, creating the convenience of having Municipal services in one building.

“We are pleased to work with the Township of Robinson on this exciting project to create a state-of-the-art building to serve the growing needs of the Township,” stated Mark Duane, Project Principal. “Our design team will work over the next year to create building design options that incorporate flexibility for growth and new technology, security and sustainability features that align with current trends in Municipal Buildings.”

The project is expected to be bid in early 2018 and completed in the Fall of 2019.

The combined project team brings over fifty years of municipal design experience, including the completion of recent projects for Ross Township Municipal Building, The Northland Community Library, and Independence Township Municipal Building in Washington, PA.
