Hayes Design Group Architects Celebrates 25th Anniversary

January 25, 2018

Hayes Design Group Architects (HDG) is celebrating its 25th anniversary.  The firm was founded in 1992 by Kevin Hayes, AIA, as a way to provide exceptional client service and excellent design within a collaborative, familial, synergistic work environment. He has always felt that “we can do more together than as individuals.”  Having had a variety of work experiences early in his career, Kevin Hayes never intended to start his own firm. However, in seeking out a company that shared his ideals, he was unable to find one that encouraged a respectful sharing of creative solutions to clients’ problems while also minimizing hierarchy.

As the firm marks its 25th anniversary, Kevin Hayes is proud of the work accomplished so far. “Our projects have brought great benefit not only to our direct clients, but also to the tens of thousands of people who have learned, worked, and worshipped in them. I believe that our ability to listen to the client has brought us success in creating places that increase the opportunity for human connections and contribute to a healthier and more beautiful world. The best is yet to come!” said Hayes, Principal and Founder.

HDG’s 17 employees and numerous clients celebrated the firm’s anniversary at their 6th Annual Client Appreciation Luncheon on November 16, 2017 at St. Clair Country Club. This event is typically held in November around the Thanksgiving holiday to show HDG’s appreciation for all of the opportunities clients have given to the firm.

Regarding the firm’s 25 years in business, Mark Duane, Principal, remarked, “I’m proud of our firm’s accomplishments and the image and credibility we have built over the years, as evidenced by the relationships we have built and continue to build with so many repeat clients.  We have always put our client’s interests and solving their issues first, and the icing on the cake really is helping our client’s visions become reality and knowing we played a part in making that happen.”

HDG’s focus is institutional design, including public and private schools and universities, government, and office buildings.  Noteworthy projects include the Bethel Park High School completed in 2012 and the new Peters Township High School and Robinson Township Municipal Complex both currently under design.
